What the college says

An opportunity to work independently and to research an area that is outside or which goes beyond curriculum specifications, whilst gaining valuable research and presentation skills. This is a stand-alone qualification. This course is available to some L6 pupils & runs alongside A Level subjects and is completed in L6.

What you need to get on

Pupils entering the Sixth Form will be expected to have attained an average overall GCSE point score of at least 6 from their top 6 subjects. They must also achieve a minimum of a grade 5 in English Language or Mathematics, with at least a grade 4 in the other of English Language or Mathematics. They are usually expected to achieve at least a grade 7 in the subjects they wish to pursue at A level (or related subjects, as agreed by the school).

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
