What the college says
This course is excellent at providing you with the essential practical skills needed for the electrical installations industry. During your study you will focus on commercial domestic and electrical installations with a large amount of time in a simulated working environment. You will need to be physically fit and not afraid of working at heights. This is a nationally recognised qualification for the electrical industry and could assist you in gaining employment.
What you need to get on
4 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above and must include English maths and science or Level 1 Electrical Installations with good academic potential.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
