Take your next step towards independence with Steps to Success – Supported Internship. This programme is designed for learners with an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) ready to move into the world of work. You’ll gain valuable experience with an employer, build your confidence, and develop skills in communication, teamwork, and independence – all with the support of specialist Job Coaches and tutors. With real-world placements and tailored guidance, this course gives you the opportunity to turn ambition into achievement and move closer to paid employment and a brighter future.

What you need to get on

This programme is all about preparing you for employment, with the aim of moving into paid work once you finish. As an intern, you’ll be in college for a day and a half per week and on work placement with a local employer for 2-3 days per week. You’ll develop real job skills with the support of a dedicated job coach. To apply, you’ll need to have a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and already have some experience of work placement.
