The focus on physical activity in this country has never been more apparent than it is currently, with more people needing support and guidance as to its importance. The role of people working in the industry is to be adaptable, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and inspirational. This course will help you to develop these skills so that you can move on to Level 3 study or the workplace.

What you need to get on

You must have at least three grade 3s and one grade 2 at GCSE, which must include English Language. We accept Passes in Level 2 BTEC or OCR qualifications as worth up to two GCSE grade 3s each.

How you are assessed

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
