What the college says

This Level 1 BTEC in Sport and Active Leisure is a great place to start for anyone who wants to learn more about the sports industry, develop the skills they’ll need for a job in the sector, and just get more involved with sport as a whole. From learning about how the body works and why exercising and playing sports is important for a healthy lifestyle, to a deeper look at the sports and active leisure industry and the kind of roles, tasks and customers you might be faced with, you’ll develop a wide knowledge and broad set of skills that all relate to sport. You’ll be participating in lots of practical sessions – both playing games and leading them, learning how to organise sporting events safely and effectively, and even visiting famous professional sports clubs and venues! You’ll be taught by highly qualified staff and get expert advice from guest speakers too, further developing your experience and abilities.
