What the college says

The Level 1 Diploma in Sport is designed around practical skills and tasks that place an emphasis on learners demonstrating what they can do and what they know in theory. The qualification gives you the opportunity to acquire and develop generic, transferable and sector-specific skills in order to complete tasks and demonstrate a level of achievement that enables them to progress to further learning. You will complete various units over the year of study that will ensure you have the ability to plan, deliver and review sports sessions. You will look at career pathways and have the opportunity to develop your Maths and English skills. In addition to the core subject knowledge you will complete essential work placement activities that will provide you the opportunity to put all your skills into practice. This is a compulsory element of the programme as we pride ourselves in ensuring our learners have real-work experience in order to move seamlessly into employment or Higher Education.
