What the college says
This is a vocational course that will give you a practical introduction to the skills needed to progress towards a career in sport. You will cover team work and fitness, develop your confidence and career progression goals alongside some specialist units for either sport. The programme will also start to prepare you to meet the physical requirements and the skills needed to work in the sports industry. This programme is for you if you want to go on to work in the leisure industry, as a fitness instructor or a coach. You can take your studies further by progressing onto Level 2 Sport

3 x GCSEs at grade 2(E) or above
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A first step that builds towards Level 2.
