What the college says

You will have studied Spanish at GCSE, or maybe you are a native speaker. Either way, this course places speaking the language at its very heart, which is an exciting prospect, and very different from your other subject choices. You speak and write in the language and in order to do this confidently, we develop your fluency through the in-depth study of grammar and vocabulary. During the two years with us, you will study the social, political and cultural movements of Spain and other Spanish speaking countries, and you will analyse closely some key film and literary texts. Spanish is one of the most frequently spoken languages in the world, and studying this subject at OSFC will open up a huge gateway of opportunities.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 passes (grade 4 or above) at GCSE, including in both English and Maths (not including Level 2 vocational qualifications). Plus a grade 6 in GCSE Spanish.
