AQA - The Spanish A Level course aims to foster a love and appreciation for the Spanish language and Spanish and Latin American culture. We study Spanish as an influential European language and through cultural studies, students knowledge of the Spanish language is broadened. We explore a range of viewpoints on issues that are current in todays world such as human rights, politics and the role of the media. We study Latin American countries and the course will cover the book Como agua para chocolate by Laura Esquivel. We also study the film Mara llena eres de gracia by Joshua Marston. Students will become confident communicators who can express themselves and their points of view clearly. Language skills are highly sought after by both universities and employers and Spanish is particularly desirable, as it is the second most widely spoken language in the world.

Grade 5 in GCSE Spanish and Grade 5 in GCSE English
