What the college says

Spanish links well with any other subject in the curriculum, in particular history, English language and literature, media studies, business, politics or as part of a broader curriculum alongside STEM subjects. The course may lead you to continue Spanish post A-level alongside another language or allow you to progress to learning a different language. More often than not, it is possible to study a language alongside nearly any other subject at university, which can give you a builtin year abroad and a Unique Selling Point as you enter the world of work.

What you need to get on

Higher tier GCSE preferably at least grade 7. But a high grade 6 with a genuine interest in the subject and a willingness to work hard, also considered. You must feel comfortable and be confident with verb conjugations and tenses.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
