A Level Spanish will provide a variety of study areas, which will challenge you and provide a deeper insight into another culture and society. The set topics you will study in your first year are: Aspects of Spanish-speaking society: current trends; Artistic culture in the Spanish-speaking world (music and cinema); Grammar and study of a literary text or film. In your second year, you will develop and build on the skills acquired at AS Level and study topics including: Aspects of Spanish-speaking society: current issues; Aspects of political life in the Spanish-speaking world; Grammar and an Individual research project.

What you need to get on

6 (grade 7 desirable) To gain entry to the Sixth Form students must have a minimum point score of 5.5 or above for your best 8 GCSE subjects.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
