Spanish offers the opportunity to take your language skills further. The subject mixes many teaching methods and topics to offer a course that is fun, challenging and interesting. At NSG taking Spanish to A level gives you the opportunity of developing your Spanish whilst focusing on relevant contemporary social issues, Spanish politics and artistic culture. What you will do: • Work in a variety of ways - in pairs and independently to develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills • Use online resources to develop your language skills • Study language and texts that are all based on contemporary society in Spain and Spanish speaking countries • By engaging critically with intellectually stimulating texts, films and other materials in the original language, you will develop an appreciation of creative uses of the language and develop an understanding of them within their cultural and social context • Develop independent research skills. Future prospects: • You may wish to go on and study languages at university or alternatively combine one language with another subject • You may prefer to use your language skills as part of a business or commercial course at there are many areas in business and tourism where languages are an asset. You may also like the idea of having a year working abroad - perhaps taking on seasonal work in the tourist industry, or as an au-pair, with a family • Learning a foreign language gives you confidence and scope for a wide range of chal
