The RSL Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Music Performance is intended for post-16 students who aim to progress to higher education and ultimately to employment, possibly in the music sector or in the creative sectors as a whole. The Subsidiary Diploma carries up to 84 UCAS points (larger than an A Level which has a maximum of 56 UCAS points) and provides a coherent course of study covering both performance and the music industry. It is designed to provide learners with a good introduction to the sector with a focus on solo performance including musical skills development and professional practice.

What you need to get on

6th Form entry: The overall entry requirements are: a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4, including a grade 9-4 in English. Subject specific entry: GCSE Grade 5 in Music if studied or the ability to play a musical instrument or sing to an intermediate standard.
