This theory course will allow you to develop a level of plant knowledge deemed essential by the horticultural industries.

What you need to get on

A keen horticultural interest is essential. At least five GCSEs including English, Maths and Science at grade 4 and above (C and above). Relevant previous Industry experience will be considered. You may be asked to attend an interview to discuss your interests, experience and ambitions so that we can help you study on the right course.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
