Religious Studies encourages students to ask the ‘bigger’ questions and seek answers through reason and argument. Unit 1 - Foundations: This unit involves the study of Philosophy of Religion and Ethics. Unit 2 - Investigations: This unit provides Yr 12 students with the opportunity to carry out independent study on an area of choice. This has recently been on Medical Ethics and the issue of Abortion. Unit 3 - Developments This unit has been designed to build upon the knowledge, understanding and skills developed in Y12 and will focus on Philosophy of Religion and Ethics.

What you need to get on

Grade 7 in GCSE RE, plus grade 5 in English and a 4 in Maths.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
