The course is split into two modules: Module 1: Philosophy and Ethics Module 2: Christian belief and practice Part 1: PHILOSOPHY OF RELIGION and ETHICS Philosophy of Religion and Ethics Explores God through religious and non-religious interpretations of religious experience as well as looking at classical arguments for the existence of God. The course also addresses the problem of Evil, and whether a Loving and All Powerful God would allow this to happen. The Ethical modules addresses methods to making moral and Ethical decisions and looks at the application to human life and animal rights Part 2: CHRISTIAN BELIEFS AND PRACTICE Christian belief and practice explores the foundation of Christian beliefs through the Bible and Christian tradition. The course develops a deeper understanding of Jesus and his role and purpose in the world, as well as the impact and effect on Christian life, practice and behaviour

What you need to get on

Students are required to have grade 6 or above in Religious Studies/Education, as with no prior RE at KS4 the course would be extremely difficult.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
