A Level Philosophy & Ethics (Religious Studies) Subject Overview Philosophy and ethics offers you an interesting and intellectually challenging A Level. This course covers a wide range of philosophical, moral, ethical and cultural issues. Equipping students with a range of theories to challenge some of societies existing ideas. Philosophy and Ethics develops a variety of skills including discussion and debate, logical argument and critical evaluation. These skills are regarded by many subjects as useful as they transferable and adaptable in many different ways.
What you need to get on
Grade 6 in English Literature and preferably a 6 in an additional essay based subject eg History
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
