This course provides the level two technical and knowledge units for people seeking a career in the plumbing and heating industry and also practical work in our workshops using industry standard equipment. Successful completion of this course will give you a recognised City and Guilds qualification that can help towards obtaining an apprenticeship or work based qualification (NVQ)If you are 19+ and are looking for a change in career we also offer a two year Level 2 Evening course to start your journey into the plumbing industry. This runs over two evenings a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm – 9pm, and is a combination of workshop and theory sessions.The qualification covers many areas within Plumbing and Domestic Heating such as: Hot and cold water supplies Sanitation Understanding Health and Safety within Building Services EngineeringSuccessful completion of this course can enable you to undertake the Level 2 NVQ (provided certain criteria can be met).This is the qualification required to have license to practice. Further details about this qualification can be discussed with the Head of Department.
