Are you passionate about construction or interested in working in the construction industry? Are you keen to learn more about how you could earn a living working in the building services industry? Do you not currently work in the building services industry but have a desire to become a fully qualified plumber? Have you got previous work experience or completed a Level 1 plumbing or building services qualification? If you have answered yes to these four questions then this is the course for you! This course is perfect for anyone who has aspirations of becoming a plumber - whether you have recently left school or want to make a career change this course will prepare you to work in the industry and qualify you to work as a plumber's mate within this industry. This is a one year course which can be studied full-time or part-time.

What you need to get on

To access this course you are required to have: Level 1 plumbing qualification GCSE maths and English at grade C/4 or above Applications from adults without the necessary qualification, but with relevant industry/work experience, will be considered on an individual basis.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
