What the college says
Designed for those who wish to pursue a career in plastering and who are not currently working in the industry. Units include: understanding how to carry out safe work practices introduction to building methods introduction to construction technology introduction into preparing background surfaces introduction to plaster materials. During the course, you will complete a minimum of 30 hours of on-the-job experience within the industry. You will also have the opportunity to work on many live projects including various community projects and benefit from site visits, industry talks and demonstrations from experts.
What you need to get on
A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 2 or above, including maths and English.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A first step that builds towards Level 2.
