"You learn more about somebody in an hour of play that you do in a year of conversation" PLATO Students with an interest in biomechanics and the influences that sport has on the world. WHAT STUDENTS THOUGHT ABOUT THE COURSE: "The course is completely different from GCSE PE. There is a lot more academic work to be completed; also more emphasis on doing extra reading by yourself. The subjects taught are found in most first-year degree courses so this A Level is a good step towards university.

What you need to get on

Grade 6 in GCSE PE. If not studied at GCSE a grade 6 in GCSE Biology or 6,5 in combined science and play a sport at least at club level. Cannot be taken in combination with BTEC Sport

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
