Students will study 4 components: Physiological factors affecting performance, Psychological affecting performance, Socio-Cultural factors affecting performance and a Practical performance. A Level Physical Education develops knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to physical education. Students gain understanding of the scientific and socio-cultural factors that underpin physical activity, and demonstrate their ability as either performer or coach.

What you need to get on

The minimum academic entrance requirement for the sixth form is 6 x Grade 9-4 GCSEs with at least 3 subjects at Grade 6 including English and Mathematics at Grade 4 or higher. We strongly advise that students have at least a GCSE Grade 6 in the subjects they will study at A Level. Additional subject specific entry requirements are listed on our website. Some subjects can be taken at A Level without having studied them at GCSE.
