Our Phoenix Purple Vocational Pathway offers our autistic students the opportunity to develop the confidence, skills and experience required to progress onto further study options at the college. Students undertake a range of mandatory subjects which help develop the core skills required for life and work, whilst at the same time choosing from a range of optional subjects that support and prepare them for future academic study. Students will also have the opportunity to develop their skills for work, whilst working with their Course Leader and Job Coach to volunteer as a group and/or undertaking individual work experience. On this pathway, if felt appropriate students can be supported to access mainstream provision alongside aspects of the Phoenix Purple course. Group size: 8-10 No. of days: 4 As part of your course, you will cover the following mandatory subjects: Planning & Progression (target setting & discussing your targets & progress) Communication & Confidence development Personal & Social Development including: Citizenship, Well Being & Autism & Me Work Related Study (1 term rotation) Catering (1 term rotation) Life & Independence Skills- Practical Living Skills (1 term rotation) GCSE English and Maths, or Functional Skills at a level that is appropriate level for you Travel & Independence (TITAN Travel Training) Well-being Fridays In addition to this you will also get to choose from a list of optional subjects to personalise your timetable and learning experience. What you need to get on

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however most learners who access this course will have an EHCP and a formal diagnosis of autism. Once an application?has been made students will be invited in for an interview and assessment day where they will get some tasters of some subjects, experience what it is like to be in a lesson and have the opportunity to talk 1:1 to one of the Course Leaders.
