The Inspire course provides a structured and secure environment whilst allowing students to experience a varied college curriculum. The course aims to support and stretch students to become as independent as possible encouraging them to embrace adult life. The Inspire course aims to introduce students to college in a small group environment in order to develop their social skills and ability to learn alongside others. There is a focus on progression and the course aims to prepare students for their next step whether this is a further course within City College Norwich or to other services. The course is designed for pre-entry level and entry level 1 students who need to develop their communication, independence and social skills. Students work towards individualised goals and targets alongside their EHCP. We aim to enable our students to be come more confident learners. Staff will support students to continuously progress throughout the year. They support the students� needs and aspirations for adult life. The curriculum covers: Communication and literacy Communication through music The world around us Life skills and Independence Enterprise Personal development and adult relationships Road safety Sport/dance
What you need to get on
This course is for young people aged 16-25 who may have moderate to severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders, emotional and behavioural difficulties or communication difficulties.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.
Is it open to 16 to 18 year olds?
Not on the Section 96 list, but a school or college runs it full time, so check the age range with them.
