Our Phoenix Purple Independence Pathway offers our autistic students the opportunity to develop the key communication, confidence and life skills required for a future life beyond college. Students have regular opportunities to learn out of the classroom in real-life contexts and are supported to develop their independence and coping skills. Group size: 6 Number of days: 3 As part of your course you will cover the following subjects: � Communication & Confidence development � Enterprise & customer service skills � Life & Independence Skills- Home skills, Cooking & Healthy Lifestyle � Literacy and number skills (including money handling and shopping) � TITAN Travel Training & Community Involvement � Work skills & gardening � Well being & coping skills This course is ideal for you if you are aged 16- 25 and have additional needs and/or disabilities. It is designed to provide you with the time and support you need to transition into further education and to develop your independence, communication and life skills.

What you need to get on

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however most learners who access this course will have an EHCP and a formal diagnosis of autism. Once an application has been made students will be invited in for an interview and assessment day where they will get some tasters of some subjects, experience what it is like to be in a lesson and have the opportunity to talk 1:1 to one of the Course Leaders. Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
