What the college says

The Cambridge Technicals in Performing Arts provides students with practical experience to help them develop the skills and knowledge that will equip them for employment within this broad and competitive sector, whether they wish to pursue a career in performance or in theatre production. From Autumn 2021, we will be offering the 'Extended Certificate - which is a one A - Level equivalent. Our cohort entering Yr 13 will complete the 'Diploma' course - which is a two A- Level Certificate. Students studying the Extended Certificate will study the following units: Proposal for a Commissioning Brief, Combined Arts, Performing Repertoire, Preparing to Work in the Performing Arts Sector and Influential Performance Practice.

What you need to get on

In order to follow a vocational or mixed Level 3 programme of study you should have achieved five or more GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 5's or above, including English Language or Literature and mathematics. Those students without a 5 in English or mathematics, will take a level 2 qualification in these as part of their studies. In addition, you will also have an individual interview with the Head of Performing Arts.
