What the college says

This is a two year long vocational qualification for the performing arts. The course offers you the chance to build on your enthusiasm for creating high standard performances within a dynamic group. You will be encouraged to demonstrate your commitment, energy, self discipline and time management skills as well as you performing talents. Students are expected to be self motivated and enthusiastic. They will need to be able to organise their own rehearsals and take responsibility for the completion of their assignment work. Students will also need to be prepared to attend lunchtime and after school rehearsals when necessary.

What you need to get on

Ideally GCSE Drama Grade 5 or Performing Arts BTEC Level 2 Merit (or equivalent). Students not meeting this criteria may be considered after interview with Mrs. R. Mayers

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
