What the college says

This course will appeal to those who would like an introductory qualification and is designed for learners who may be ready to progress quickly to further study. You can build on the skills and information you already have with our Level 1 Performing Arts Course if you want to work in this field. Along with Maths and English, you will work towards a BTEC Level 1 Award in vocational studies. You will work on a variety of performing arts units. The Award offers an introduction to the performing arts sector and this is a practical course that will give you opportunities to present your work in performances over the year. The course provides opportunities for students to explore, develop and test their creativity. You will be involved in rehearsals and performances to develop your skills, and confidence and to also have fun. All of your work will be based on a portfolio.
