This course will inspire and give you the skills needed to pursue further study as well as enhance your career or travel prospects. You will be using German independently for a range of purposes and you will deepen your understanding of German and its culture through the study of a variety of popular topics, texts and films all linked to the culture of German communities.

What you need to get on

The minimum entry requirements for students are the best 8 GCSE grades, totalling 38 or higher. For example, two Grade 6s, two Grade 5s, and four Grade 4s. In addition, students also need to have secured Grade 4s in Mathematics and English; with a Grade 6 in GCSE German.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
