Geography is an exciting, enquiry-based subject which enables you to develop a full appreciation and understanding of the world in which you live. Several topics of the course are developments of the work covered in the GCSE course but others are new. What is more important is that you have a lively and enquiring mind, an interest in the environment and current affairs, a willingness to explore new ideas and an ability to communicate your ideas effectively.

What you need to get on

The minimum entry requirements for students are the best 8 GCSE grades, totalling 38 or higher. For example, two Grade 6s, two Grade 5s, and four Grade 4s. In addition, students also need to have secured Grade 5s in GCSE Mathematics and GCSE English and a Grade 6 in GCSE Geography.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
