It would suit those new to the sector or those who have limited responsibilities and who work under close supervision.
What you need to get on
Students must have a relevant placement of at least 8 hours per week (paid or voluntary).
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
