It provides an introduction to the sector and builds knowledge around understanding on how to promote equality, diversity and rights and safeguard individuals, You will also gain an understanding of human lifespan development and you will carry out practical assessment to promote person-centred care. You will have achieved a GCSE Grade 4 or above in either Maths or English Language, along with 3 other GCSE's at grade 3 or above including Maths or English Language.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
