This course is for you if you wish to further enhance your Level 2 skills and become a Specialist Nails Technician within the Creative Nail Services Industry . A brief course outline is as follow: Working as part of a team. Retailing. Promote a variety of activities. Gel. Liquid and powder (using an acrylic nail system). Wraps. Advanced nail art. Airbrushing. Electric files. On successful completion of this course you may progress on to other programmes in College or work as a nail technician. Studying Hair and Beauty at Barnsley College will enable you to develop skills for a range of careers such as: Barber, Beauty Consultant, Hairstylist, Nail Technician, Salon Manager, Spa Therapist. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding lessons to allow you to achieve, succeed and progress into new and exciting destinations. You will participate in enrichment industry week - an opportunity to 'try something new'. Professionals from Dermalogica, Wella and Steiner are invited in to college to demonstrate, train and inspire students. You will take part in external competitions such as World Skills allowing exciting opportunities to compete nationally and internationally. The annual Alternative Image hair and beauty show gives you a chance to work together with students to create a professional innovative production to showcase their skills. Lots of our students participate in community volunteering events.
What you need to get on
NVQ Level 2 Nail Services. Students will normally take part in an interview prior to being enrolled on the programme.
