This qualification covers all the core skills you will need to progress to further learning and training, or to enter the world of work within the nail industries. You will study the following mandatory content: Anatomy and physiology for hands and feet Introduction to working in the nail industry Nail enhancements (clear) Nail art services Pedicure services Manicure services Light cured gel polish Following successful completion of this qualification you will be qualified to work in a number of employment destinations such as beauty salon, Spa, Nail bar, Cruise ship, Hotel or Salon or progress onto a level 3 qualification.
What you need to get on
4 x GCSEs at grade 3(D) or above, or Level 1 Subject Qualification In addition: A passion for nails and the nail industry.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
