Music Production and Working Musicianship - Level 2 UAL Diploma (LF)
at South Staffordshire College, Penkridge · college
What the college says
This course is for those wishing to progress into a career in the music industry, and helps develop skills in performance, production and composition. You will have the opportunity to use industry standard recording equipment and take part in a number of public performances; including live gigs, theatre productions and festivals. There will also be opportunities to take part in wider college events and trips including biannual trips to Paris or London. The Level 2 programme leads directly onto the Level 3 Music Production and Working Musicianship programme. You dont need to supply any specialist professional equipment as the college will supply you with that, but we do ask that musicians bring in their own instruments (where its safe to do so) and that all students arrive to lesson with a set of over-ear headphones with inch stereo jack adaptors. Bluetooth headphones are not recommended. We also suggest that you also purchase a USB pen drive/hard drive if possible. What you will need to supply is energy, commitment and enthusiasm! The music industry, like all creative industries, demands passion, resilience and hard work as much as it demands skill and talent. You will need to be able to communicate with others, work in a team and be personable.
