This course provides an introduction to the music industry if you are a music practitioner and/or have an interest in music production. Skills and knowledge will be developed through a focus on the music industry. The course also aims to develop wider skills to enable you to progress on to a level 3 study programme in music.
What you need to get on
* GCSEs at Grade 3 in maths and English Or * Music Level 1 Diploma plus maths and English at level 1 or equivalent * You will be asked to produce evidence of your ability in this subject which could be in the form of a portfolio * Successful attendance at an interview event
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
