This course is designed both for those who are experienced performers and composers who may be aiming to study music at university/conservatoire level and for those who have a general interest in music which they wish to develop.

What you need to get on

Student must have some aptitude and expertise in music, whether with instrument(s) and/or with voice as instrument. Reading music is an advantage. Please contact Impington if unsure. For the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), a student should be a general all-round student,with an overallB-grade profile or higher at GCSE or level 2 equivalentand have a B grade or more in the subject s/he wishes to take at IB diploma higher level or as IB single-subject certificate.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
