Music is an enriching and engaging subject, offering a unique combination of creativity and academic rigour. Studying for your understanding of music, as a performer, composer, and as a listener. It allows you to explore and develop a passion for music, and communication skills. You will be supported by a department that strives for and achieves excellent results inside and outside of the classroom, with our last cohort all gaining Grade 5 ABRSM Music Theory as well as 100% A*-B grades
What you need to get on
A minimum grade 7 in Music, and minimum level 5 in English literature or language and mathematics. If you have not studied music, you will need to have passed a grade 5 music theory examination. All students will need to be able to demonstrate that they can perform at the required level before entry onto the course.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
