Music A Level offers the opportunity to study music in considerable depth. It will improve your knowledge of styles and genres and enable you to develop into an outstanding performer and composer. Music A Level is both a practical and academic course. You will develop your own compositional style, performing skills and your understanding of music.

What you need to get on

Grade 6 in Music GCSE and Grade 5 in one instrument/voice. Grade 5 theory is desired, or if not achieved, a strong commitment to undertake extra theory work to reach a similar standard during the early part of Year 12.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
