What the college says

Media Studies is concerned with developing an understanding of all aspects of the media, including its representations, values, ideology and audience. The course will be of interest to students who will want the opportunity to develop a range of transferable skills for successful career progression in a fast changing, media centred work place.

What you need to get on

Students need to have a grade 5 in GCSE English Language and Literature as a pre-requisite to be considered for the course; it must also be noted that all the coursework for the course is now undertaken individually so students would ideally also have experience with Photoshop and editing equipment.
