This course will provide you with the opportunity to explore the world through important critical perspectives and take an increasingly analytical approach to media texts. You will also be able to apply your knowledge and understanding of the key concepts through the creation of your own media products. Topics include: Television in the Global Age, Changing Representations Media in the Digital Age, Video Games, Advertising and Music Video, News in the Online Age and Film Industries � from Wales to Hollywood.
What you need to get on
Five GCSEs grade 9-4 and a satisfactory school reference.Including English Language at grade 4 as a minimum. You will also need to show an art portfolio, containing recent examples of creative work you have done.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
