A-level Media Studies engages students in the in depth study of media products in relation to the four areas of the theoretical framework: media language, media representation, media industries, and media audiences. Students are required to study media products from all of the following media forms: television, film industries, radio, newspapers, magazines, advertising and marketing, online, social and participatory media, video games and music video The students have the opportunity to learn Publisher, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro to create their own media texts.

GCSE grade 6 in one of the following subjects: Media Studies, English Language or English Literature.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
