Completion of this course gives UCAS points equivalent to 1 A level. This is an exciting and stimulating course that gives students who are interested in the media the opportunity to study the media in depth and at a high level along with exciting accompanying practical opportunities. It is equivalent to a single A level qualification so can be sat alongside other A level options (excluding Media Studies). The main focus is on television, video and film production techniques and practice, as well as some emphasis on print based techniques.

What you need to get on

Grade 4 in GCSE Media Studies or grade 4 GCSE English if Media has not previously been studied. All students must have an APS of 3.83 or above if combined with other BTEC courses.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
