What the college says

Any student wishing to take a mathematics-rich degree would benefit from studying further maths at A Level. Universities often state a preference for students studying further maths for those who wish to study a wide range of subjects, including Maths, Computing, Physics, Engineering, Finance and Economics. A student who studies further maths will have their mathematical horizons stretched to include ideas and concepts that were previously unreachable, including study of topics such as linear algebra, differential equations and imaginary numbers.
