What the college says
The Luton Scholars Programme will equip you with the X Factor that competitive entry universities are looking for! The course develops your thinking and problem-solving skills often assessed by the top universities in the country via their entrance exams. The course also provides dedicated preparation for LNAT tests/National Admission Tests for Law, Oxbridge Thinking Skills Assessments and BioMedical Admissions Tests. Students communication skills are also enhanced in order to prepare them for any interview they are called to during the university selection process. In addition, students are entered into an additional AS qualification called the Extended Project Qualification which allows students to write a dissertation or to build an artefact based on an interest relating to the subject matter they wish to study at university; a truly excellent way to stand out during the application process to the university you have set your heart on. The Luton Scholars Programme encourages free and open debate, critical and investigative thinking and informed and disciplined reasoning. It is the academic arm of the Alpha Advanced Learning Programme which invests, through a variety of activities, in the futures of our highest-achieving students.
