What the college says
Creative Writing (EPQ) is an inspiring and ambitious course designed to help students develop their own distinctive writing voice while completing an extended independent project. At the heart of the course is creativity, originality, and ownership. Students explore a wide range of genres and styles before planning, researching, and producing a substantial piece of original writing they can take real pride in. Drawing inspiration from poets, novelists, journalists, and contemporary writers from diverse backgrounds, the course encourages students to tell meaningful, engaging stories rooted in both personal experience and the wider world.
