What the college says

The Extended Project Qualification is designed to showcase your abilities as an Independent Learner. Initially you will be taught the skills that you require to produce an outstanding project. During your EPQ you will develop skills such as how to manage your time, conduct effective research and to be able to critically evaluate sources and evidence. Students find completing an EPQ invaluable as it supports them with discussion points for their UCAS applications in both their personal statements and university interviews. The project will demonstrate not only the fundamental skills required for a successful university student, but will also show your motivation and passion for your chosen subject area. Some universities will also lower their entry requirements for some courses for students who have completed an outstanding EPQ.

What you need to get on

A minimum Attainment 8 score of 60. A grade 6 in GCSE English Language and Maths. A grade 6 in the subject you wish to study (or two grade 6s if you wish to study a science and took Combined Science at GCSE).
