The Extended Project (EPQ) will develop and from an area of your personal interest or activity outside of your study programme. It will be based on a topic chosen by you and agreed by your supervisor. The EPQ offers opportunities for you to: * make a significant contribution to the choice and design of an extended project and take responsibility either for an individual task or for a defined task within a group * develop and improve your own learning and performance as a critical, reflective and independent student. * develop and apply decision making and problem solving skills * extend your planning, research, critical thinking, analysis, synthesis, evaluation and presentation skills. * develop and apply skills creatively, demonstrating initiative and enterprise * use your learning experiences to support your aspirations for Higher Education. * transfer skills developed as part of your extended project to other areas of study.

What you need to get on

5 GCSEs 9-4. This one year course must form part of a Study Programme comprising at least three other two-year qualifications

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
