The Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Applied Science (Analytical and Forensic Science) is a two-years course. It is suitable for students who prefer a more vocational and practical-oriented study that covers a considerable breadth of subject specialisms. The Extended Diploma (Analytical and Forensic Science) is equivalent to 3 A-levels and universities recognise this qualification. It is a very popular course for those who are keen on a career in science-based field and want to pursue a degree in a science discipline such as biomedical science, biological science, pharmaceutical sciences, Forensic Science, Criminal investigation or a degree in healthcare. Students who wish to progress to university are fully supported during their two years of study with us. Students are also supported to progress onto an apprenticeship within the field if this is their preferred choice.
What you need to get on
At least 4 GCSEs at grades 4 or above, including maths, English and Science, or a full Level 2 qualification with a Merit profile and grades 4 or above in English, Maths, and Science
