This exciting new qualification has been developed in partnership with employers and industry experts to provide learners with the essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to begin a successful career in health and social care. The Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry in Social Care prepares learners to work safely, effectively, and compassionately within care settings that support people across all stages of life. This is a full time, 2-year study programme, which covers a range of topics, which are assessed internally and externally. Learners will prepare for a health & Social-related career with this course, equivalent to A Levels. It will give you the opportunity to develop your academic and writing skills and apply your knowledge to a real-life setting during practical work experience. Learners will explore a range of key topics, including: - The values and principles of the social care profession - Person-centered and holistic approaches to care - Communication and partnership working - Safeguarding, equality, and inclusion - Health, safety, and wellbeing in care environments - Employability skills and reflective practice

What you need to get on

Learners should have 4 GCSEs grade 4 or above including mathematics and/ or English. You will be required to re-sit your English or mathematics alongside your health and social care course (If you do not already have grade 4). You will be interviewed by the subject teachers and should be enthusiastic about working with individuals who may be vulnerable and/ or require some additional support with tasks of daily living.
